We are four months along is the journey of pregnancy and to say that I have had food aversions is an understatement. Which I am finding annoying. I like to cook, I am not picky about food typically but that has changed. Well for the time being at least, I've been told that things will continue to change over this adventure! What I have learned so far:Which let's just discuss that for a moment. One of my favourite meals is a roasted chicken. Roasted Chicken and Roast Beef are pretty much a staple for my family on a Sunday. It was a staple for me growing up and even now, well til about 4 months ago that is. There is nothing like walking into your house and smelling a roasted chicken. Moving on...
- I don't want to cook
- I definitely do not want to cook chicken
- I do not like the smell of a roasting chicken
Which leads me to this soup. So I am having a hard time eating protein. Unless it's a burger, and there is nothing better then a homemade burger to me right now. I could eat a burger everyday it seems like. Back to the soup, so I looked through some cookbooks and vegetarian books and decided that I would make a big batch of vegetable soup and throw in some Lentils for extra protein. All is going well, soup smells delicious, taste test went well. I divide up my soup to easy portions for quick lunches and think I am doing great. I get to work heat up my soup and suddenly feel like it is the most disgusting soup I have ever had. So much so that there is no way I can eat it! What the heck! My co-worker Ms. M, thinks I'm crazy especially because I keep looking at her soup (basically the same as mine but with Beef) and I just want her soup... So when does this phase end?
- I have turned more vegetarian ...
